Suspects Sought in Newark South Ward 7-Eleven Armed Robbery

Police in Newark seeks the public’s help identifying the suspects wanted in connection with a business robbery that occurred on Friday, November 23rd.

According to police, at approximately 11:15 p.m., police responded to 7-11, located at 240 Elizabeth Avenue, on a robbery call.

Police say, upon their arrival, they were told two males entered the store and demanded cash at gunpoint. According to police, a third suspect waited outside the store during this incident.

All three males fled on foot, two running west on East Runyon and the other ran east on East Runyon.

Police say the first suspect, who was armed with a handgun, is described as 20 to 25 years old, 5’9” tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black ski mask, black/blue jacket, stoned washed jeans and black sneakers.

According to police, the second suspect is in his early twenties, 5-ft. tall with a slim build. He wore a black ski mask and dark clothing police said.

The third suspect was wearing all black clothing according to police.

While detectives are actively investigating this incident, we seek the public’s help in identifying these suspects and removing them from our streets. This incident remains under investigation.
