Police in Jersey City are on the search for a black male suspect who was last observed wearing a dark colored jacket, and blue jeans when he produced a weapon and fired several rounds on a street in the city Saturday night.
The incident happened just before 11 p.m. in the vicinity of Winfield and Ocean avenues where police say the suspect opened fire on unknown targets before running away from the scene.
Detectives reportedly collected three shell casings near 62 Winfield Avenue, but there were no injuries reported.
The motive for the shooting is unknown at this time.
