Suspect Sought for Crashing Vehicle into Home Depot in Newark

Newark Police request the public’s help in identifying a vehicle in connection with damaging the main entrance door of The Home Depot yesterday.

According to police officials, just before 1:15 a.m., Police responded to a call of criminal mischief at The Home Depot, 399 Springfield Avenue. 

Police said that the driver of a vehicle backed into the store’s main entrance, causing the door to collapse.

Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help in quickly identifying this vehicle and its driver as part of their investigation. 

According to police, the vehicle is described as having a partial license plate number ending in 455.

Newark Police officials urge anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of this vehicle to call the Police Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
