Suspect Pours Gasoline Inside Chinese Restaurant During Gunpoint Robbery in Newark

Police in Newark are on the search for a violent suspect who reportedly robbed a Chinese Restaurant in the city on Saturday evening.

According to a statement released by Newark Polic officials, at approximately 7:30 p.m., an armed male suspect entered Orange Kitchen at 282 Park Avenue and announced a robbery.

Police say the suspect robbed the store of cash at gunpoint after pouring gasoline on the establishment's floor.

According to police, the suspect took an unknown amount of proceeds before fleeing the scene on a bicycle.

There were no physical injuries immediately reported according to Newark Police officials.

This incident remains under investigation.
