Kearny police arrested a man early Monday morning after he was reportedly caught pulling on the door handles of parked vehicles in a neighborhood.
According to preliminary information, officers responded to the Terrace Place area after receiving reports of a male suspect checking vehicle door handles.
Police located a man matching the description on Passaic Avenue, where he was detained.
The suspect was positively identified during a show-up identification and was subsequently placed under arrest.
Authorities have not yet released the suspect’s identity or indicated whether any vehicles were entered or property was stolen.
The investigation remains active.
