Suspect Accused of Armed Robberies in Irvington, Wanted for Attacking Newark Gas Station Attendant

Essex County authorities are looking for a violent armed suspect wanted for several robberies, a carjacking in Irvington, and a vicious assault of a gas station attendant in Newark overnight. 

Newark Police units were called to the Millenium Gas Station to investigate reports of an aggravated assault in progress shortly before 12:30 a.m.

Officers arrived at the scene and requested EMS after they located an injured g station attendant at that location. 

According to reports, police learned that an armed suspect arrived at the gas station in the 100 block of Bloomfield Avenue and announced a robbery. The assailant then beat the attendant during the encounter. 

Police believe the suspect fled the scene in a silver Toyota Highlander with a reported NJ license plate number "R22-PRP". The vehicle is wanted in connection to several armed robberies in Irvington. 

The gas station attendant did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
