Sunshine, Great Temperatures Welcome Newark to the Work Week

Newark

By: Richard L. Smith

We are waking up warm but dry as we begin the work week on this beautiful Monday morning in Newark and across the North Jersey region.

Good morning, Jersey! We hope you had a great weekend. After Sunday morning’s stormy weather, we are thankful for a much quieter start today.

As we begin our news day at 4:30 a.m., it is 73 degrees in downtown Newark. Around the region, temperatures are sitting at 72 in Trenton, 68 in Somerset County, 71 in Paterson, 76 in Toms River and 74 in Irvington.

We are looking at a very nice day with plenty of sunshine. It will turn warm, but conditions should not feel oppressive.

According to the National Weather Service, skies will start partly sunny before gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 77 degrees. North winds around 11 mph could gust as high as 28 mph.

Tonight will be clear and cooler, with temperatures dropping to around 56 degrees.

Make it a great Monday, New Jersey!
