Sunshine Dominates as Newark Starts Tuesday on a Beautiful Note

Newark

By: Richard L. Smith

We hope you’re waking up feeling refreshed and ready to take on the day. As of 4:30 a.m., skies are clear across much of the state, temperatures are comfortable, and the air feels pleasant with low humidity.

Early morning temperatures are running cool in many locations, with Sussex County around 50 degrees, Morristown near 50, Newark at 59, and Toms River checking in at a crisp 48 degrees.

The good news? We’re in for another beautiful June day.

According to the National Weather Service, sunshine will dominate from start to finish, with afternoon temperatures climbing to around 81 degrees.

A light southwest breeze between 8 and 10 mph will make for excellent conditions whether you’re heading to work, spending time outdoors, or taking advantage of that lunch break.

Tonight will remain quiet with partly cloudy skies and temperatures falling to around 65 degrees. Southwest winds will continue at 6 to 10 mph.

Enjoy the sunshine, the comfortable humidity, and the pleasant temperatures. Days like this don’t come around every week, so get outside if you can.

Make it a great day, New Jersey!
