It’s a cool and crisp start to Mother’s Day across Newark and the North Jersey region, but the weather is shaping up to perfectly match the warmth and appreciation being shown to moms across the state.
As of early Sunday morning, temperatures in downtown Newark were hovering around 54 degrees.
You'll want a light jacket if you’re heading out to early worship services or breakfast. But don’t worry — moms will get to show off their Sunday best, as sunny skies and rising temperatures are in the forecast.
According to our friends at the National Weather Service, today will be sunny with a high near 76 degrees.
Light winds will shift to the north at 5 to 8 mph by late morning, bringing a calm and beautiful afternoon.
Tonight will be mostly clear with lows around 54 degrees.
