There were minor injuries reported in a strong armed robbery of a woman in Hillside.
At around midnight, a female victim contacted authorities reporting that she was robbed then attacked by a male suspect in the city.
The woman told police that she was in the area of Bloy and Purce Street when she was approached by the suspect who exited from an unknown vehicle and demanded her cell phone.
According to the woman, when she refused the suspect's demands, he began to go on the attack, striking her with a closed fist to the ribs and abdomen.
The suspect then took the cell phone and fled in an unknown direction.
Hillside Police are investigating.
