There were no physical injuries reported in an incident where the driver was carjacked in Newark's South Ward Saturday evening.
According to police, they began a search for a black 2005 Mitsubishi Outlander that was carjacked in the vicinity of Frelinghuysen Avenue and East Bigelow Street before 5:30 p.m.
Police say the vehicle has a reported NY license plate number " HYA-1571".
The incident remains under investigation.
