Authorities are on the search for a carjacking suspect that took a vehicle from a victim by force in Newark last night.
Police responded to the area of South 10th Street and South Orange Avenue where officers were approached by the victim who told them that a male suspect conducted a carjacking using force.
The vehicle is being reported as a black Audi Q7 SUV with an NJ licenses plate number **" L63-GJP."**
Police are looking for a short black male who was last seen wearing a black jacket and black "skully cap" when he sped from the scene eastbound on South Orange Avenue.
There were no reports of serious physical injuries.
