Police are investigating a strong armed carjacking of a woman that happened this evening in the city.
The incident occurred in the area of Frelinghuysen Avenue and Stanton Avenue shortly before 6:15 p.m. when the suspects reportedly crashed their vehicle into the rear of the victim's vehicle.
According to reports, when the victim exited her vehicle to assess the damage, a male suspect took control of the victim's cars and sped away.
The carjacked vehicle is being reported as a Chevrolet Monte Carlo with reported NJ license plate numbers "WMN-23Z".
The suspects fled southbound on Frelinghuysen Avenue towards Elizabeth.
