Street Closures in Newark Announced for American Cancer Society’s Walk to Fight Breast Cancer

Newark Public Safety Director Brian A. O’Hara announces street closures due to the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, to be held Sunday, October 17.

The walk will begin at 9 a.m., starting at Mulberry Street, between Market and Lafayette streets.

Edison Place, between Broad Street and McCarter Highway, will also be affected as part of the event staging area.

  • Lafayette Street from McCarter Highway to Broad Street
  • Edison Place from McCarter Highway to Broad Street
  • Center Street from McCarter Highway to Broad Street
  • Rector Street from Park Place to Broad Street
  • Commerce Street from McCarter Highway to Broad Street
  • Clinton Street from Broad to Mulberry Streets
  • Park Place from Raymond Boulevard to Center Street
  • East Park Place from Park Place to Mulberry Street
  • Prudential Way from Broad to Halsey Streets
