Police reported no injuries in a shots-fired incident in Paterson on Thursday evening.
Gunfire erupted in the vicinity of 66 Hopper Street around 6 p.m.
When police arrived at the scene, they found evidence that a shooting had occurred, but no victims were found after they searched the scene.
According to police, a house was struck by bullets, but no one inside was injured.
The suspect fled the scene and has not been captured at this time.
Police have not released a motive for the shooting.
