A sanitation truck that was struck by a vehicle late last night in Newark had the technician suffer non-life threatening injuries.
The incident happened in the single digit block of Elizabeth Avenue at around 9:30 p.m. when a vehicle slammed into the garbage truck and the occupants reportedly ran from the scene.
A sanitation technician (who was reportedly collecting waste from the area) suffered injuries to the legs according to reports.
Police arrived to the scene where a check of the vehicle's registration came back stolen.
There were no immediate reports of arrests made.
