New Jersey State Police are investigating a violent crash that happened on a busy highway in Middlesex County overnight.
Details are very limited regarding what occurred or transpired during this collision.
According to preliminary information, the incident took place Monday night on the southbound lanes of the Garden State Parkway, just south of Exit 130B–A near U.S. Route 1 in Woodbridge Township.
Middlesex County officials posted on social media that the right lane remained blocked as of approximately 8:38 p.m. as state police and emergency maintenance crews responded to the scene.
The crash prompted significant delays as traffic slowed through the area, with one lane remaining closed to facilitate emergency operations.
Initial reports described the incident as a serious collision, but as of Tuesday morning, there have been no confirmed reports of fatalities or serious injuries.
Authorities have not yet released details on the number of vehicles were involved or the cause of the crash.
