The New Jersey State Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash that occurred early Sunday morning in Mercer County.
Preliminary findings indicated that at approximately 3:50 a.m., authorities responded to reports of a crash on the northbound lane of I-295 near exit 63 in Hamilton Township.
Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement discovered a vehicle with one person trapped inside.
Tragically, the unidentified individual was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no reports of any other severe injuries.
The cause of the crash remains the subject of an active and ongoing investigation by the NJ State Police.
