State Police have arrested Kevin Madrigal-Romero, 24, of Paterson, and seized approximately $450 worth of drugs during a traffic stop.
On Tuesday, July 28, Trooper Juan Henao stopped Madrigal-Romero for a motor vehicle violation on Interstate 80 in Fairfield Township in Essex County.
During the stop, Trooper Henao determined that Madrigal-Romero was under the influence and arrested him for DWI.
After further investigation, Trooper Henao discovered Madrigal-Romero was in possession of heroin and crack cocaine.
Madrigal-Romero was charged with possession of heroin, possession of crack cocaine, tampering with evidence, criminally under the influence, and DWI.
He was released pending a court appearance.
