Paterson Police are investigating a stabbing incident that injured a person Tuesday morning.
At approximately 3:50 a.m., police responded to reports of an injured person in the vicinity of 190 Main Street.
Arriving officers requested EMS to rush to the scene after they found the unidentified person suffering severe stab wounds.
The victim was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital for treatment and was listed in critical but stable condition.
A second person suffering stab wounds was found in the 40's block of Washington Street.
Police have not confirmed the extent of their injuries at this time.
One person was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and possessing a weapon for unlawful purposes.
The motive for the attack is under investigation.
