Police in Newark's East Ward are investgiating a stabbing that occurred in that section of Newark on Sunday morning.
Authorities say the incident happened at around 3:50 a.m. in the teen's block of Hawkins Street. According to police, one person was found stabbed at that location.
The unidentified victim was rushed to University Hospital in serious but stable condition according to reports.
Police have not confirmed if a second person was found stabbed at the same location.
The motive for the stabbing is under investigation.
