Police in Lakewood has not officially released many details regarding a stabbing that was reported at a bar in the Township during the overnight hours.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to Maggie's Bar located in the 100 block of Country Club Road to investigate an altercation that broke out in the vicinity of the bar at approximately 1:50 a.m.
Units arrived at the scene found an unidentified person bleeding after being stabbed at that location according to reports.
EMS transported the victim to Jersey Shore Medical Center where doctors treated non-life threatening injuries.
The motive for the stabbing and what exactly transpired is under investigation according to police.
