Police are investigating a stabbing that left a person with serious injuries last night in Asbury Park.
The incident happened in the 100 block of Atkins Avenue a little after 8 p.m. when emergency crews were called to the scene for an injured person at that location.
EMS arrived and transported the victim to an area hospital where their injuries were not immediately reported to be life threatening.
Authorities set up a crime scene in the area that lasted into the early morning hours where they searched for evidence.
The circumstances involving the stabbing is under investigation.
