South Orange Middle School is set to shine a spotlight on culture, creativity, and community pride as it presents its 4th Annual “My Black Is Beautiful” celebration on February 21, 2026.

The highly anticipated event honors Black history, culture, and artistic expression through a dynamic showcase of performances and visual arts.
Organized in partnership with the South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) and local community leaders and creatives, the program continues to grow each year as a testament to resilience, artistry, and shared heritage.
School officials say the celebration is designed not only as a performance event but as a meaningful platform to elevate Black voices and highlight the power of the arts in bringing communities together.
Tickets are currently available and expected to sell quickly due to strong community interest.
Attendees can choose from several ticket options, including a $65 VIP package that offers exclusive access to a private reception and a commemorative swag bag.
Regular seating is priced at $30 for mezzanine and $35 for orchestra seating, though pricing may vary by seating tier.
