Somerset Prosecutor Investigates Early Morning North Plainfield Stabbing

The Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office has taken over the investigation into a violent stabbing that happened Tuesday in North Plainfield. 

The early morning stabbing happened around 5:05 a.m. near 1025 Route 22. 

According to a preliminary statement released by Somerset County Prosecutor officials, the isolated incident sent one person to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Brunswick after being stabbed by an unidentified suspect at that time. 

The Somerset County Prosecutor's Office has not released the condition of the male victim at this time. 

According to officials, the public was not in danger during the incident, which is under an active and ongoing investigation. 

More information will be released regarding the incident this afternoon, officials said.
