Somers Point Man Arrested for Distributing Explicit Images of Minors, Videos Online

The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office has announced the arrest of Mr. Roger Tees, 73,  in connection with the distribution of explicit images of minors and videos through various internet platforms.

The arrest was made without incident, and Mr. Tees has been lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.

Atlantic County officials said the investigation began when the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received a referral regarding the distribution of inappropriate content on multiple email and social messaging platforms.

OfficersAfter a thorough investigation, Atlantic County Prosecutor Detectives were able to identify Mr. Tees as the suspect behind the distribution of videos and images of sexual exploitation of minors.

Roger Tees has been charged with a 2nd-degree offense related to the distribution of explicit images of minors and a 3rd-degree offense for possession of explicit images of minors.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Internet Crimes Against Children Unit received valuable assistance from the United States Department of Homeland Security Investigations and the Somers Point Police Department during the investigation.

It is important to note that these charges are accusations, and Tees is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
