According to the National Weather Service, showers are likely to begin after 11 a.m. with a high near 56 degrees.

A southeast wind around 10 mph, gusting up to 20 mph, will add a bit of a bite to the air. The chance of precipitation is high at 90%, with new rainfall amounts expected to be between a tenth and a quarter of an inch.

Tonight, NWS forecasters said showers would continue mainly before 2 a.m., followed by patchy fog developing after 2 a.m.

Interestingly, temperatures will rise slightly to around 57 degrees by 1 a.m.

For those planning to step outside, it is advisable to carry a jacket or coat and definitely an umbrella to stay dry and warm throughout this drearily cold day.
