Snow Accumulation to Hamper Friday Morning Commute in Northern New Jersey

New Jersey

A wintry mix that's expected to drop about an inch of snow on the Northern New Jersey region is expected to cause some issues on major highways and local street on Friday according to officials from AccuWeather.

Heavy and steady frozen precipitation began to fall in Newark at approximately 4:45 a.m. and is expected to exist through the morning until about 8 am where it will then change over to ice and rain.

Police are cautioning drivers to plan extra time as low visibility, slippery roads, and icy conditions could cause result in significant collisions.

Take it slow and check while using caution while making your commute.
