After a string of crisp, fall-like mornings, residents across Newark and the North Jersey region are waking up to slightly warmer conditions to close out the workweek.

At approximately 4:30 a.m. Friday, temperatures hovered around 68 degrees along Bergen Street near University Hospital, offering a noticeably milder start compared to Thursday.
Early risers catching the bus or train were met with calm, dry air under mostly clear skies.
According to the National Weather Service, the region will continue to enjoy mostly sunny skies throughout the day, with highs nearing 79 degrees.
While most areas are expected to stay dry, there’s a slight 20% chance of isolated showers after 2 p.m., particularly in some northern parts of New Jersey.
As evening approaches, skies will clear once again with temperatures dropping to a refreshing low of around 56 degrees.
Have a great Friday, New Jersey — the weekend is almost here, and the weather is looking just right to enjoy it.
