Paterson Police are investigating a shooting that occurred at a location in the city early Sunday morning.
It happened in the vicinity of Halpine and North 3rd streets just before 3:30 a.m. where residents dialed 911 after hearing multiple shots fired at that location.
Units arriving at the scene immediately taped off the area after officers found more than a dozen shell casings according to reports.
There were no injuries reported after police searched the area for victims.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
