Police reported no injuries in a shooting in Newark's Central Ward on Wednesday night.
Gunfire rang out near the Nat Turner Park, located in the 200 block of 18th Avenue, around 11 p.m.
Units canvassed the area and observed multiple shell casings, but no gunshot victims were found.
Police say a ShotSpotter device alerted authorities of the shooting.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation and the suspect fled the scene after the shooting.
