Newark Police are n the search for the suspect who fired several shots at an unknown target in a Newark neighborhood on Monday morning.
A ShotSpotter system activated in the 300 block of South 10th Street after it detected several sounds of gunfire at around 2:45 a.m.
Police arrived at the scene and found shell casings, but after canvassing the scene, there were no reports of injuries.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation and the shooter remians at-large.
