Authorities in Newark are investigating a shooting in the city that occurred on Friday night.
At approximately 9 p.m., Poice said a ShotSpotter device activated near 444 4th Avenue, sending officers to the scene to investigate.
Upon arrival, police taped off the area after finding shell casings, but no victims were located after officers searched the area. Police say area hospital checks came back negative as well.
The suspect fled the scene and is at-large.
