Authorities in Somerset County are investigating a report of gunfire that occurred Monday night in Bound Brook.
According to information released by the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office, Prosecutor John P. McDonald, Acting Chief of County Detectives Meredith McKay, and Jason Gianotto announced that officers were dispatched to the area of Vosseller Avenue and West High Street at approximately 9:20 p.m. on April 20, following reports of shots fired.
Police said no injuries have been reported in connection with the incident.
Responding officers from the Bound Brook Police Department were joined by detectives from the Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit to investigate the circumstances surrounding the gunfire.
At this time, officials say there is no indication of an active threat to the public, though the investigation remains ongoing.
