Police in Newark are on the search for a suspect who fired several rounds at an unknown target this evening in the city's South Ward.
Police set up a crime scene in the 90’s block of Rose Terrace at around 6:30 p.m. after gunfire rang out.
Units arrived at the scene and found evidence that a shooting occurred but after a search of the area, no victims were found.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
No arrests have been made.
