Authorities checked several hospitals in the region for injured victims after gunfire rang out on a street in Paterson on Monday morning.
Police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the vicinity of 326 East 29th Street at approximately 2 a.m.
Officers arrived to find evidence that a shooting occurred, but after a search of the area, they did not find any victims.
Police collected several shell casings while they searched the area for other evidence to support a motive for the shootings.
There were no arrests made.
