Shots Fired at a Church in Jamesburg Under Investigation

Shots fire at a church over the weekend has police investing.

Sunday morning, police responded to St. James Catholic Church on Lincoln Avenue around 7 a.m., where church officials told police a maintenance worker discovered damage caused by apparent gunfire.

Although the pastor of the church - who lives next door - said did not hear anything, area residents said they heared at least one gunshot between 1:30-2:30 a.m. A car was also heard driving off but no one contacted police.
