Irvington High School student remained in their classrooms this morning while police investigated a social media threat posted on Snapchat.
According to police, sometime around 10:30 police were notified of a threat posted on Snapchat by a former student that allegedly stated: "I might shoot this s--t up.”
No charges have been filed against the teen, who presently attends Carteret High School.
The Essex County Prosecutor's Office is assisting in the investigation.
