Police in Paterson are on the search for a gunman who fired several rounds on a street in the city Friday evening.
According to police, a ShotSpotter activation alerted police of a shooting in the vicinity of 125 Presidential Boulevard shortly before 7:50 p.m.
Units arrived at the scene they found evidence that a shooting occurred, but after they searched the neighborhood, no victims were found.
Two shell casings were recovered at the scene.
The motive behind the shooting is under investigation.
