Police are investigating a shots fired incident that occurred Wednesday night in Paterson, where shell casings were recovered at the scene.
According to preliminary information, gunfire was reported around 9:15 p.m. in the area of 472 Summer Street, prompting a response from officers.
Upon arrival, police secured the scene after locating multiple shell casings. A canvass of the surrounding area did not reveal any victims.
Authorities said the suspect fled prior to officers arriving, and no arrests have been reported at this time.
The motive behind the shooting remains under active investigation.
