Severe Injuries Reported for Pedestrian Struck by Hit-and-Run Vehicle in Hoboken


There were severe injuries reported for a pedestrian struck by a car that fled the scene in a section of Hoboken early Monday morning.

According to police, at approximately 12:50 a.m., police were called to the area of Garden and First streets to investigate reports of a person down near the intersection.

Police and EMS arrived at the scene and found an unidentified person suffering a severe head injury at that location.

According to police, the victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment and remains in critical condition.

Police say the vehicle that struck the victim fled the scene and the driver remains at-large.

There were no other injuries reported.
