Severe Injuries Reported in Collision Involving Car, Tow Truck on NJ-18 in New Brunswick

Police are investigating the cause of a crash that seriously injured a person on a highway in New Brunswick Saturday morning. 

According to police, the collision happened at approximately 1:10 a.m. in the northbound lanes of NJ-18 near George Street. 

Police arrived and shut down the roadway after they found a car and a tow truck colliding on the right side of the road. 

One person was rushed to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center for treatment and the extent of their injuries has not been confirmed at this time. 

No other injuries have been reported.
