An early morning theft of several vehicles at a rental car lot in Newark has police investigating.
Police were called to the Hertz Rental Car lot that's in the 900 block of Doremus Avenue shortly before 3:30 a.m. where arriving units were told that several male suspects arrived at the facility armed with guns and reportedly pointed the weapons at the security officer before taking as many as four Range Rovers.
According to reports, two of the vehicles were recovered with one suspect apprehended shortly after the heist.
Police are looking for the remaining two vehicles that were last seen in the area of Springfield Avenue and South 11th Street.
There were no injuries reported.
