Several Residents Displaced in Jersey City Three-Alarm House Fire

Firefighters battled an early morning three-alarm fire that tore through a multi-family home in Jersey City on Wednesday morning.

According to fire officials, flames ripped through the rear of a home located in the 200 block of Neptune Avenue at approximately 4:40 a.m.

Officials said when firefighters arrived at the scene, they found residents out of the three-story house, but flames were present through the roof of the house.

A search of the house indicated no trapped or injured occupants and as of 5:20 a.m., crews had not placed the fire under control.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
