Multiple police agencies assisted Elizabeth police quell physical confrontations that erupted near several late-night establishments on a street in the city overnight.
Police say there were no serious injuries reported during their preliminary investigation of a verbal dispute that resulted in a large crowd pouring out of a business in the 40’s block of Westfield Avenue at around 2 a.m.
According to reports, Union County, Roselle, and Linden police departments assisted at the scene while Elizabeth detained several people involved in disputes.
This incident remains under investigation.
