Police in Paterson are investigating an early morning crash that sent several people to the hospital on New Year’s Day.
The incident occurred shortly after 1:00 a.m. near the intersection of Broadway and East 37th Street.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene after multiple 911 calls reported a serious collision in the area.
When officers and EMS units arrived, they located two vehicles involved in a crash with approximately five occupants injured.
The victims were evaluated at the scene and transported for additional medical assessment. According to authorities, none of the reported injuries appeared to be severe.
The cause of the crash remains under active investigation by the Paterson Police Department.
