Police in Monmouth County are investigating the cause of a crash that sent several people to the hospital in Hazlet this afternoon.
It happened at around 1:45 p.m. On NJ-36 near Laurel Avenue where the two cars collided causing one of the vehicles to overturn.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene and assisted trapped occupants from the vehicles according to police.
A firefighter who occupied one of the vehicles was able to self-extricate without serious injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
