According to a statement released by Newark Police, multiple people were hospitalized following a collision between a New Jersey Transit bus and a private vehicle late Tuesday morning in Newark.
Authorities said the crash occurred at approximately 10:46 a.m. on August 12, 2025, at the intersection of 15th Avenue and Bedford Street.
The bus was carrying 12 adult passengers and its driver at the time of the incident.
All passengers, along with the bus driver, were transported to University Hospital for evaluation of injuries described as non-life-threatening.
The driver of the private vehicle was also taken to the hospital for similar evaluation.
Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda confirmed that the cause of the crash remains under investigation, and no additional details have been released at this time.
