Several Injured After Car Crashes into Building in Newark's South Ward

Police in Newark are investigating the cause of a crash that injured several people in the city's South Ward Friday morning.

According to preliminary reports, police and emergency responders rushed to the vicinity of 895 Frelinghuysen Avenue after they received reports of a crash with trapped occupants.

Upon arrival, police found that a vehicle somehow lost control and slammed into a building at that location.

Police say an adult and two children were extricated from the vehicle then transported to University Hospital for treatment.

None of the injured were immediately reported as life threatening.
