Injuries Reported for Two Victims Shot in Asbury Park

Authorities in Monmouth County are investigating a shooting that seriously injured two victims in Asbury Park on Sunday night.

According to preliminary reports, police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the vicinity of 26 Ridge Avenue just before 10:40 p.m. sending police officers to the scene to investigate.

Units arrived at the scene to find two victims suffering bullet wounds after a gunman fired shots in their directions, according to police.

Police say both victims were rushed to Jersey Shore Medical Center and remain in serious condition.

The motive for the shooting is under investigation. No suspects have been arrested at this time.
